Proteus Drones is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your visit to our website is completely secure.

Security of your Personal Information

To maintain the security of your information, we use HTTPS, TLS 1.2+ and automatic SSL, while data at rest uses AES-256—the strongest encryption standard commercially available.
Once the information is in our system, it is accessible to authorized Proteus Drones personnel only. We strictly enforce our privacy policies with our employees and any breach of this policy will result in termination and the pressing of criminal charges where there are grounds.

How we use your Personal Information

Your personal information will be used in order to provide you with the requested products and services. This includes the use of information for completing transactions or communicating back to you. Credit card numbers are used only for payment processing and are not used for any other purpose.

Who we share your Personal Information with

We will NOT sell, trade or rent your name or personal information to anyone else. We DO NOT sell, trade, rent or provide outside access to our mailing list at all.
Proteus Drones will not release your personal information to authorities unless required by law, search warrant, court order, subpoena, or fraud investigation.

Children

We do not knowingly collect or use personal data from children under 13 years of age. If we learn we have collected personal data from a child under 13 years of age, the personal data will be deleted as soon as possible. If a child under 13 years of age has provided us with personal data their parent or guardian may contact our privacy officer.

Collection of your Personal Information

Proteus Drones only saves such personal information that is necessary for you to access and use our services. This personal information includes, but is not limited to, first and last name, email address, phone number, other payment processing information and document creation data. Proteus Drones will store such personal information only for record-keeping and tax purposes.

If you use our online booking service, Proteus Drones is required by law to store certain personal information for at least 5 years. We will store only invoices, transactions, and any communication shared between Proteus Drones and the customer.

California Consumer Privacy Act Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice supplements the information contained in the LawDepot® Privacy Policy and applies to visitors, users and others who reside in the State of California. Any terms defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) have the same meaning when used in this Privacy Notice.

Information We Collect

Proteus Drones collects information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or device (“personal information”). The information you enter when completing the forms on our website may fall into Category A, Category B and Category C below. You can delete that personal information at any time through your “My Documents” or “My Account” pages. Other than the information you enter into the forms on our website, in the last five (5) years we have collected personal information only from Category A, Category B and Category C below:

Proteus Drones obtains personal information from the following categories of sources:

  • Directly from our users or their agents. For example, from the forms and payment information users complete on our website.

  • Directly and indirectly from activity on our website. For example, website usage details collected automatically.
     

Sale of Personal Information

In the preceding five (5) years, Proteus Drones has not sold personal information to a third party for a business purpose. Proteus Drones will not sell your personal information to anyone.

Sharing of Personal Information

Proteus Drones may disclose your personal information to a third party for a business purpose. When we disclose personal information for a business purpose, we enter a contract that describes the purpose and requires the recipient to both keep that personal information confidential and not use it for any purpose except performing the contract.
We share your personal information with the following categories of third parties:

  • Service providers.
    In the preceding five (5) years, we have disclosed the following categories of personal information for business purposes:

  • Category A: Identifiers; and

  • Category B: Personal information categories listed in the California Customer Records statute (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e)).
     

Your Rights and Choices

The CCPA provides consumers (California residents) with specific rights regarding their personal information. This section describes your CCPA rights and explains how you can exercise those rights.

Access to Specific Information and Data Portability Rights

You have the right to request that Proteus Drones disclose to you certain information about our collection and use of your personal information in the past 12 months. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request (see Exercising Your Access, Data Portability and Deletion Rights), we will disclose to you:

  • The categories of personal information we have collected about you;

  • The categories of sources of the personal information we collected about you;

  • Our business or commercial purpose for collecting or sharing that personal information;

  • The categories of third parties with whom we share personal information;

  • The specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you (also called a data portability request); and

  • If we disclosed your personal information for a business purpose, the categories of personal information that each category of recipient obtained.
     

Deletion Request Rights

You can delete any personal information you enter into a form on the Proteus Drones website by contacting our team at info@ProteusDrones.com. You also have the right to request that Proteus Drones delete any of your personal information that we have collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions. Other than the information you enter into forms on our website, we only retain personal information that is necessary for you to access and use our services and to comply with our legal obligations. This information may fall under an exception to deletion.

Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request (see Exercising Your Access, Data Portability and Deletion Rights), we will delete (and direct any service providers to delete) your personal information from our records, unless an exception applies.
 

Exercising Your Access, Data Portability and Deletion Rights

To exercise the access, data portability and deletion rights described above, please submit a verifiable consumer request to us by either:

  • Calling us at 1-949-775-0399; or

  • Emailing us at info@ProteusDrones.com.
    Only you or a person registered with the California Secretary of State that you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. You may also make a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child.
    You may only make a verifiable consumer request for access or data portability twice within a 12-month period. The verifiable consumer request must:

  • Provide enough information for us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected personal information or an authorized representative.

  • Describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it.
    We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you. We will only use personal information provided in a verifiable consumer request to verify the requestor's identity or authority to make the request.
     

Response Timing and Format

We endeavor to respond to a verifiable consumer request within forty-five (45) days of its receipt. If we require more time (up to 90 days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing. We will deliver our written response electronically or by mail, at your option.

Any disclosures we provide will only cover the 12-month period preceding the verifiable consumer request's receipt. The response we provide will also explain the reasons we cannot comply with a request, if applicable. For data portability requests, we will select a format to provide your personal information that is readily useable and should allow you to transmit the information from one entity to another entity without hindrance.

We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your verifiable consumer request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will tell you why we made that decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request.
 

Non-Discrimination

Proteus Drones will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. Unless permitted by the CCPA, we will not:

  • Deny you goods or services.

  • Charge you different prices or rates for goods or services, including through granting discounts or other benefits, or imposing penalties.

  • Provide you a different level or quality of goods or services.

  • Suggest that you may receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.
     

How to Opt-Out of Data Collection, Use or Disclosure

In addition to the method(s) described in the Information We Collect section, we provide the following specific opt-out methods for the forms of collection, use, or disclosure of your personal data specified below:

  1. SMS/Text Messages: You can opt-out by texting "STOP".
     

Modifications

This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time in order to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to our data collection process. When we amend this Privacy Policy we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy. We recommend that our users periodically review our Privacy Policy to ensure that they are notified of any updated. If necessary, we may notify users by email of changes to this Privacy Policy.
